Venice Beach
Officially part of Los Angeles proper, Venice is more than its own community – it’s a separate reality. Within a few blocks you can find French antiques, bums living out of shopping carts, and bandana wearing daredevils juggling chain saws for tips. The downside: Parking’s a bitch.
